The Oak Ridges Moraine is an ecologically important geological landform that stretches across south-central Ontario. From the rolling hills and rivers valleys extending approximately 160kms, it was formed over 12,00 years ago and makes some of the best trails and scenery that was formed by advancing and retreating glaciers. This is Purple Woods Conservation Area with accessible Discovery Walk and trails that brings migratory birds, Monarch Butterflies and beautiful fall colours not to mention the sweet sugary sap in the spring that makes Maple Syrup. It is not a guarded secret that this is a wonderful place to spend some time even looking for cats.
